Duration: 60 minutes
Premiered at the 2011 Jerez Festival
eLe eLe It is the chronicle of Leonor's imaginary danced journey through the mirror. The mirror as a symbol of personal encounter, discovery of herself and at the same time a reflection of new forms, of experimentation and play.
She draws on traditional sources of classical dance, Spanish dance and flamenco. She filters the essences of these disciplines through her experience to create a close, intimate and personal show. A show that simultaneously looks forward and tends towards a conceptual development of flamenco.
eLe eLe It is Leonor Leal. This is the confirmation of this young artist who was recently awarded the prize for “Breakthrough Artist at the 2011 Jerez Festival”.
It also features the collaboration of Rocío Márquez, one of the promises of the current flamenco scene. Rocío gives voice to the reflection of eLe eLe flooding the work with countless fragments of sensitivity and accompanying the audience in moments full of emotion.
Own spirit, freshness on the roots of flamenco, that's it eLe eLe.
